JOB TITLE: YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL
DEPARTMENT: CLUB OPERATIONS – CLUB LOCATION: RUBONIA BOYS & GIRLS CLUB
REPORTS TO: CLUB DIRECTOR
FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
Job Title: Youth Development Professional (YDP) – Program & Data Coordinator
Function:
Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities provided within program areas such as Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, or Good Character & Citizenship. In addition, YDPs support accurate registration, attendance tracking, and data management to ensure compliance and quality outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities (not all-inclusive): Youth Development
Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
Engage members, promote consistent participation, and encourage attendance.
Establish rapport with youth; provide mentoring, guidance, and role modeling.
Plan and facilitate purposeful and engaging activities and group projects.
Implement and administer programs, ensuring safety, quality, and Club standards.
Support members’ emotional and social development.
Submit lesson plans, attendance sheets, and required documentation.
Participate in training, staff meetings, and professional development.
Maintain daily contact with staff, members, and supervisors to collaborate and share information.
Complete daily setup, cleanup, and close-down of program areas.
Program & Data Coordination
Manage member registration and maintain accurate membership files.
Enter daily attendance and program participation into Trax Solutions.
Maintain waiting lists, scholarship documentation, and enrollment records.
Submit and file member change forms; review files for accuracy and completeness.
Generate and review reports (attendance, new member reports) for accuracy and compliance.
Communicate data needs during staff meetings.
Assist with front desk duties as requested by the Club Director.
Position Requirements (not all-inclusive):
Part-time position.
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework/certifications preferred.
Minimum of two years of relevant experience required.
CPR/First Aid certifications preferred.
Valid driver’s license; must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
Experience working with children and knowledge of youth development required.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate youth, manage behavior, and maintain a safe environment.
Ability to balance program delivery with accurate data management.
Position Qualifications:
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
Ability to use hands/fingers for computer and office equipment.
Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Must maintain a state of alertness in a safety-sensitive environment.
Noise level in the work environment is high due to Club setting (indoor/outdoor).
