Workforce Specialist (Part-Time)

How You Will Help Us Make a Difference - Do you have a passion to guide youth into developing the skills to enter the workforce? In this role you will:
Case manages a minimum of sixty (60) 8th to 12th graders in successful Workforce Readiness programs. Organize and hold accountability meetings with all teens to make sure they are meeting their goals.
Connect teens to workforce readiness programming at the Club or in the community and helps them have accountability and break down barriers to help them be successful. Assists teens in participating in a variety of related programs.
Help teens develop life skills and make smart life choices, including, but not limited to budgeting, interviewing skills, leadership skills and entrepreneurship.
Help teens secure education and gainful employment in the community. This can include job placement while in the program.
Coordinate and maintain cooperative working partnerships with local area school district, higher education institutions, and other community partners to enhance the program through communication.
Maintain efficient and effective record keeping procedures.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, volunteers, peers, employers, and the community at large.
What are Essential Job Requirements:
A candidate must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Check to work for BGCMC.
Demonstrated ability to work with program team, at-risk youth, parents, and community leaders.
Competency in computer software including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Publisher.
Competency in general office equipment usage including copier, printers, fax, and cash register.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Experience in establishing and leading programs, activities, and services for at risk youth.
Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving history.
Proven ability to deal with the public; particularly, business, and organizational leaders, Human Resources professionals and other community-based employment or placement service agencies.
Proven ability to plan, market and implement quality programs using a youth development strategy.
